    From iMore'southward Photo Help email:

"Ive been searching without success, trying to find out how to upload pictures from the new Photos app that replaced iPhoto on my Mac with the latest upgrade. FB cant discover any pictures that Ive saved since the upgrade. I can upload photos to" FB from the new Photos app only Im not able to modify my cover movie or upload a picture in a annotate on someones page unless I use a motion-picture show that Ive previously uploaded to FB from the Photos app.

I feel like Ithousand talking in circles! Bottom line, I just desire to exist able to add photo while on Facebook but then far havent figured out how to do it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!"

In Safari, on FB - I click the obvious places to add a photograph and get a Finder-similar window where on the left, under 'Media' I tin select 'Photos' - and everything appears to the right of the sidebar, and photos are selectable... As to albums, etc - on Safari/Facebook - that behaves for me similar information technology always has to make an anthology, rearrange, option cardinal pic, etc...

Is this a question or just an example?

I am trying to acquire how to use the Mac Os X Photos app to upload photos to my Facebook folio, that is, within the Photos app [v.ane.5], non when logged into my FB account. I recall, probably from iPhotos daze, that I could practise that, just no more.

Not to deject the primary effect, merely I have an entire Photos album of 23 photos that I'd like to mail.

Get to your album, and at the acme of the folio is an icon that looks like a foursquare with an arrow pointing up. Click on that icon for a list of options to use in sharing your photos. Facebook is ane of the options.

My issue: I create an album in Photos. And so go Facebook to upload the album I only fabricated. Annotation: I'chiliad not trying to upload to my personal
FB PAGE. I''yard trying to upload to a FB group/business page (not sure if that matters). Anyway, I hit "Create Album" button which takes me to my files. I select PHOTOS under Media drop down and the album I merely created is not listed and then I can non access information technology. Yet... if I wait a few days, it sometimes will appear. Information technology'southward crazy! I get to PHOTOS and it's at that place, but for some reason information technology won't let me admission information technology when trying to upload. Is there an access setting I need to deselect? Cheers to anyone who understands what I but typed! LOL!

GinaVF, I have this problem also.

Firstly, Apple tree Photos is like iTunes - they're both databases. Each photo is a hulk inside the database, so information technology is invisible to the file organization. Facebook etc can simply see the files in the file system. It cannot meet inside the database of photos, so information technology can't find anything.

Apple Photos will but assistance you send a photograph to your own Facebook page, using the icon that looks like a box with an arrow pointing upwards.

Nonetheless, every bit you lot plant, it cannot transport a photograph to a Facebook folio that is not your own.

The work-around is to Consign the photograph you need from Apple Photos to a file binder similar "Desktop". This creates a split file for the picture, and Facebook tin see that file. Using Facebook, you can and then import that file.

Withal, equally you found, information technology cannot send a photo to a Facebook page that is not your own.

The work-around is to Consign the photograph you need from Apple Photos to a file folder similar "Desktop". This creates a separate file for the picture, and Facebook can see that file. Using Facebook, you lot can so import that file.

They complicate everything.... it gets worse using mac photos app

It's non working in Chrome for me but it does work in Safari. With Chrome I just become the spinning wheel and the bottom left corner like the photos are gonna load any second.

Yep that's exactly what I did too, for Chrome. On Safari everything works just fine. I use an iMac btw. Dubiousness it matters.
